Pintor Barber was established in June 2019 to provide high-quality services for today’s modern man and to serve our beautiful community of Kitsilano. Our barbers are highly qualified, passionate, and innovative bringing the newest trends to our customers.

Why the aviation theme?
Our barbershop has an aviation-inspired theme because one of the founders is also an airline pilot. His childhood dream was to become an airline pilot, but one day, he accidentally stumbled upon barbering. It all started with a bad haircut when he was 14 years old, that day he went out and bought himself a pair of Wahl clippers and started cutting his own hair. Throughout high school, he would cut friends and family’s hair in his parents’ basement where he had set up a mini barbershop.
He fell in love with it. When he finished high school, he had one problem that would hold him back from his aviation dream and that was who was going to finance his dream? That summer he enrolled in an apprenticeship program at Delmar college to get licensed as a hairstylist and later to become a red seal hairstylist.
Through this trade he was able to pay for his flight training and go on to become an airline pilot flying throughout the Caribbean, Central America, South America and is now based and flying in Canada. He has always been passionate about aviation and hair and this passion has brought you Pintor Barber Vancouver.
